Acid-Away^® is a patented chemical treatment for use in air conditioning and refrigeration systems that have experienced a burnout, or operating systems that are showing a buildup in acid content. It's the only product that actually neutralizes acid molecules to prevent compressor burnout and is a safe and easy-to-use treatment for hermetic and semi-hermetic compressors that operate with mineral or alkylbenzene type refrigeration oils. For systems that operate on Polyol Ester lubricants, use ACID-AWAY FOR POE.

Applications:

• To neutralize the residual acid that remains in a refrigeration or air conditioning system after a compressor burnout has occurred and a new compressor has been installed. 
• For preventative maintenance in operating refrigeration and air conditioning systems where acid buildup is detected, but a compressor changeout is not yet needed.
